A quick and flavorful flatbread topped with barbecue chicken, melted cheese, and red onions, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

2 large flatbreads (about 10 inches / 25 cm each)
1½ cups (225 g) cooked chicken breast, shredded
¾ cup (180 ml) barbecue sauce
1½ cups (170 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup (50 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ small red onion, thinly sliced (about ½ cup / 60 g)
1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
1 tablespoon (5 g) chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Toss shredded chicken with ½ cup barbecue sauce.

  • Brush flatbreads with olive oil and spread remaining sauce on top.

  • Add chicken, cheeses, and sliced onion.

  • Bake 10–12 minutes until cheese melts and edges are golden.

  • Garnish with cilantro, slice, and serve.

Notes

Use sturdy flatbread for best results. Avoid over-saucing to keep the crust crisp. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
